Solomon Birnbaum (Salomon, Solomon A[scher] Birnbaum or Solomon Ascher) was a Yiddish and Hebrew linguist and art historian.
From 1936 to 1957, Solomon Birnbaum was a lecturer on Hebrew paleography and epigraphy at the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London.
From 1938, he taught at the same time at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies of the Yiddish University ("East European Jewish Studies").
