In 1974, Yosef Tekoah rebutted a speech delivered in the General Assembly, by Yasir Arafat, chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Mr. Arafat called for a common Palestinian state that would include Muslims, Jews and Christians.
Yosef Tekoah denounced the proposal, saying it would assure the destruction of Israel and its replacement by an Arab state.
Yosef Tekoah cited: The Palestine Liberation Organization had shown its true colors "by the only currency it uses -- the blood of innocent civilians."
