Narrative

After the outbreak of World War II, the British established a detention camp iat Latrun לטרון son jailed over the years thousands of detainees.
At first, the Detention Camp was used to intern German and Italian Prisoners of War.
Later, the Detention Camp was expanded, and divided into four areas:
1. for enemy nationals
2. for suspects in connection with the enemy
3. for Arab gang members of Haj Amin el Husseini
4. for members of the Jewish underground

Narrative

In February, 1948, the British evacuated the detainees from the Latrun Detention Camp מחנה המעצר בלטרון and transfered the remaining Jewish prisoners to the Atlit Detention Camp מחנה המעצר בעתלית.
