Narrative

Gleiwitz Gliwice, a complex of four camps working for mining and industrial companies and railroad repair, was a subcamp of Auschwitz.
* Gleiwitz I was open from 1944 to January 1945; prisoners repaired rolling stock for Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk RAW.
* Gleiwitz II was open from May 1944 to January 1945; women prisoners produced carbon black, while men prisoners repaired and maintained machinery for Deutsche Gasrusswerke GmbH DAW and Borsig-Koks-Werke.
* Gleiwitz III was openend from 1944 to January 1945; prisoners worked in Glewitzer Hütte renovating halls and manufacturing of weapons, ammunition, and railroad wheels for Zieleniewski-Maschinen und Waggonbau GmbH, Krakau.
* Gleiwitz IV was open from June, 1944 to January 1945; prisoners worked on expanding the barracks and repairing and converting military vehicles for OT, Zieleniewski company.

Narrative

On January 18, 1945, male prisoners were transported from Arbeitslager Gleiwitz II to KL Sachsenhausen, and female prisoners were transported to KL Ravensbrück.
On January 18, 1945, all prisoners were transported from Arbeitslager Gleiwitz III to KL Gross-Rosen,
