SS Polonia was a Polish steam ship, operated by the Gdynia American Line, orignally named SS Kursk, as a vessel of the Russian Merchant Marines.

In November, 1933, SS Polonia and Martha Washington sailed for for Palestine.
They were turn back by radio warnings were flashed by British High Commissioner, Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope. who was trying to quell an Arab insurrection.

In 1921, Kursk was acuired by the Baltic-American Line, and her name was changed to Lonia.

In 1933, SS Polonia began voyages from Constanţa, via Istanbul and Pireaus, to Haifa חיפה.
The ship's agent was in Dizengoff Shipping Company חברת הספנות דיזנגוף.
