In 1934, kibbutz HaZorea קיבוץ הזורע, which means The Sower, in Hebrew, was founded by Hashomer Hatzair members from Germany, and members of the German youth movement called Werkleute, the section of the Kameraden, influenced by Martin Buber.

In 1935-1936, kibbutz HaZorea קיבוץ הזורע was established on its own land.
The group had supportes among neighbors and in the central Zionist institutions in Jerusalem, but few gave them a chance to succeed because their idealism was so much stronger than their experience, but they defied the doubts.
kibbutz HaZorea קיבוץ הזורע joined the Kibbutz Artzi, one of the three kibbutz associations, which imposed on them a fairly rigid ideological framework of Marxist Zionism.
