Narrative

Gavriella גבריאלה was a single masted fishing boat that had served as a cruise ship in Greek waters, and a smuggling and pirate vessel.
Registered Name: Gabriela Heleni
Capacity: 60 tons

Narrative

On September 2, 1945, Gavriella גבריאלה sailed from Piraeus Πειραιάς, carrying 40 passengers.
Achille Rastelli cites: "Gabriella, partito nel settembre 1945 dal Pireo con 40 persone."
The crew was Greek, there was no Palyam Escort מלווה nor Gidoni גדעוני aboard.

Narrative

On September 9, 1945, Gavriella גבריאלה was off shore from Mount Carmel הר הכרמל.
She was not spotted by the British, but she did not find the Palyam boats that were supposed to meet her and take the Maapilim to shore, so Gavriella גבריאלה made her way to Caesarea קיסריה.
