Narrative

In 1940, the Germans established the ghetto in Bełżyce., and in February and March, 1941, 500 Jews from Krakow and 500 from Lublin were transported to the ghetto.

Narrative

In May, 1942, Jews from Lublin, Krakow and several thousand Jews from Sachsen and Thuringen were transported to Belzyce.
Prior to the liquidation of the Belzyce Ghetto, the Jews were transported to Majdanek and Sobibor.
Jewish Virtual Library cites: "In spring 1942, the Germans conducted an Aktion to liquidate the remaining Jews in Belzyce. They rounded up over 3,000 Jews for extermination at Sobibor. Subsequently the Germans established a concentration camp in Belzyce in a few houses around the destroyed synagogue."

Narrative

In May, 1943 the Bełżyce Ghetto was liquidated; most of the men were transported to the labor camp at Budzyn and most of the women and children were shot.
International Jewish Cemetery Project cites: "Liquidated in 1942, the Jews were transported to Majdanek concentration camp."
