In 1953, Liaison Bureau לשכת הקשר, literally the Contact Bureau, code name: Nativ נתיב was established as part of the Prime Minister's Office, by Prime Minister Moshe Sharett., to function covertly, making contacts, fostering Jewish education, and aiding immigration to Israel.
Motto: "וקנצתי אתכם וחצלתי אתחם מכל המקומות" "And I shall gather you, and I shall rescue you from all places".
