American Christian Palestine Committee ACPC

Narrative

In 1946, to maximize effectiveness, Pro-Palestine Federation PPF, primarily made up of pastors and a few priests, founded in 1930, and the Christian Council of Palestine CCP, founded in 1942, merged, becoming the American Christian Palestine Committee ACPC, with a membership of over 15,000 Christians.

Narrative

In 1947, after the United Nations partition vote, the American Christian Palestine Committee ACPC was one of many similar organisations, Jewish and non-Jewish, that urged a quick implementation of the UN Special Committee on Palestine plan.
The American Christian Palestine Committee ACPC continued for several more years, organizing local programs and conferences, lobbyimg national leaders and publishing a monthly magazine, Land Reborn, which communicated the justice of the Zionist cause and focussed on strengthening sympathy in Christian communities for the Jewish State.
Thinking that its work was done, the American Christian Palestine Committee ACPC disbanded.
