Narrative
In 1936, the Jewish Agency established it's own flying company, called Aviron אווירון, which operated flights between Tel Aviv תל אביב, Haifa חיפה and Tiberias טבריה.
which began to train pilots, while ITzL launched an underground force called the Palestine Flying Services Sherutai Eretz Israel Le'Teufa.
In 1939, the first 11 Aviron אווירון graduates earned their pilot licenses.
Aviron אווירון merged with Palestine Flying Service and acquired more aircraft.
By 1942, Aviron אווירון had graduated 95 licensed pilots
Narrative
In November, 1947, Aviron אווירון planes were transferred to the Haganah הגנה Air Service, forming the basis for the Air Force , and flying was moved from Lod Airport שדה התעופה לוד to Sde Dov שדה דב Airport.
