Narrative

Le Comite de la Grand Synagogue a Varsovie cites: "We owe Poznanski the invaluable research in the history of Hebrew grammar, of Commentary, of the Gaonic period and of the institutions that they founded after the sun of the Gaonic period had set in the various lands of Western Europe. After Harcabi, Poznanski was the greatest authority in the field of the history of Jewish sects including, and especially, the Karaite sect and he was an expert in the entire body of Hebrew-Arabic literature. He was a one of a kind bibliograph; as a reader whose thirst for reading was never satisfied he was interested even in studies that had no connection to his areas of speciality, like Arabic and Hebrew Philosophy.
