Event Note

Frieda Stolzberg, with the help of the Rabbi Dr. Solomon Schonfeld, left home to go to England with her siblings.
She stayed with a family in London's East End, who became her guardians, but eventually was evacuated.
She moved several times to different foster homes, until she joined her brother in a hostel in Cardiff.
She moved to Shefford, home of the Jewish Secondary School, managed by Rabbi Schonfeld.
When Shefford closed down, she moved to the Woodberry Down Hostel in North London.
She moved Israel but after a couple of years, she returned to London, where she found work.
