Dan Nimrod served as Staff member of ITzL אצ"ל's European Command.
He served as commander of ITzL אצ"ל operations in Germany (1945-46), in Italy (1946-47) and in France (1947-48) with jurisdiction over Austria, over the ITzL אצ"ל outposts in countries behind the 'Iron Curtain' and over North Africa.

In 2000, Dan Nimrod donated his library of over 2,500 volumes and his extensive archives to The George Washington University, in order to provide another perspective on the Arab-Israeli conflict to researchers in the United States.
