Event Note

In November, 1970, and rebroadcast on November 21, 1971, journalists interviewd Yehuda Slutski, editor of Kitsur Toldoth ha-Haganah, police officer David Tidhar, and Avraham Tehomi, who readily disclosed that Yosef Hecht, commander of the Haganah, received instructions to eliminate the traitor, Jakob de Haan, Dutch poet, novelist, diplomat, former Zionist, and spokesman for Agudat Israel against the creation of a Jewish State, which he relayed to Zechariah Urieli, Haganah commander of Jerusalem,
Avraham Tehomi, admiotted, in the interview for Israeli TV, that he carried out the order, and openly stated: "I have done what the Haganah decided had to be done. And nothing was done without the order of Yitzhak Ben-Zvi. I have no regrets because he [de Haan] wanted to destroy our whole idea of Zionism."
Avraham Tehomi cited "This was not Hecht's decision alone. someone very important in the country was involved in this... this was a very high level decision ( I hope this does not appear in the broadcast...) He received permission....the time has still not come to reveal the truth.."
Police officer David Tidhar cited " I regret I was not chosen to liquidate him, My job was to protect those who did..." i moved into the area and waited for the shots... Naturally I appeared on the scene immediately. Since I knew in which direction the gunman had to escape..."

Military Service 1931 אצ"ל ארגון צבאי לאומי ITzL Irgun Tzvi Leumi ETZL Irgun

Event Note

In April 1931, Avraham Tehomi, and a group of members, mainly Betarim, rejecting the Haganah הגנה's moderate policy of Havlaga הבלגה (restraint), left Haganah הגנה Aleph, and established Haganah הגנה Bet, which became known as the Irgun Zvai Leumi ETzL אצ"ל.
Jewish Virtual Library.org cites: On December 5, 1936, Tehomi signed an agreement with Jabotinsky making Tehomi the group’s commander and Jabotinsky its political leader.

Event Note

Avraham Tehomi, Chief of Staff, and the administrator and coordinator of all the auxiliary arms of ETzL אצ"ל as well as of relations with other organizations: the Revisionists, Lehi, and with Peter Bergson's Hebrew Committee for National Liberation, in the United States, tried to unite ETzL אצ"ל (Haganah הגנה Bet) and the Haganah הגנה (Haganah Aleph).
On a visit to Paris, he sighed an agreement accepting Zeev Jabotinsky’s ultimate authority, but Jabotinsky rejected the recommendation for unification with the Haganah הגנה.
In 1937, he returned to the Haganah הגנה to take up a senior position, and half of the 3000 ETzL אצ"ל fighters followed him back to the Haganah הגנה.
"As determined as were the senior commanders to go back to the Haganah, their juniors, who now came to the fore, were determined to remain independent."

Event Note

Avraham Tehomi resigned from the Haganah הגנה when the Haganah הגנה did not fulfill its obligations under the amalgamation agreement.
