In October, 1940, Hermann Hartmayer and his family were among the Jews rounded up in Bagnères-de-Luchon, and transported by train to camp d'Agde.

Event Note

At the end of 1942, Hermann Hartmayer escaped from camp de Gurs.
Adela Hartmayer contracted either typhus or typhoid fever, and was transferered to an infirmary.
Manya Hartmayer went into hiding in Roma.
Hermann Hartmayer, along with sons, Sigi and Willy, hid in Firenze, but were arrested in November, 1943.
Hermann and Willy Hartmayer escaped.
