Nadvirna Nadvorna Nadvornaya Nadvurna נאדווארנא
Nadworna is a village in Eastern Galicia. Before World War I it was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; between the World Wars, Poland, after World War II, the U.S.S.R, and today, Ukraine.
Nadworna was home to a vibrant Jewish community until its final destruction in 1942.
By 1942, all but a very few of the Nadvirna Jews had been murdered in the Holocaust, some in ghettos created in the city, but many killed in the Belzec concentration camp.
