Narrative
In 1492 by Meñli I Giray near the site of today's Kakhovka established a fortress, слам-Кермен İslâm Kermen اسلام كرما (later also was called as Shagin-Girei, presumably after Şahin Giray).
It was attacked many time by cossacks, and was finally destroyed by them under the leadership of Ivan Mazepa in 1695.
