Rosa Faerman lived in Argentina during the Holocaust.
Her Slovakian parents fled Europe to escape persecution, but they couldn’t enter the United States because they needed a sponsor.
Rosa cites, “It was hard for Jewish people to leave Europe. Twice, officers returned our papers . . . Argentina had open immigration, so my family eventually went there.”
