Narrative
In March, 1937, on the eve of Purim, Ginosar גינוסר, formerly Gennesaret, was founded by a group of socialists, on PICA (Palestine Jewish Colonization Association) land that had been leased to the settlement of Migdal מגדל.
The leased area needed close protection during the disturbance, and the settlement was built as a חומה ומגדל tower and stockade settlement.
