Palestine Police Force משטרת המנדט

On July 1, 1920, the Palestine Police Force was established as a British colonial police service in British Mandate for Palestine, by High Commissioner Herbert Samuel, whose civil administration took over responsibility for security from General Allenby's Occupied Enemy Territory Administration (South).

In July, 1935, the Port and Marine Section of the Palestine Police was formed.
During World War II, it came under the control of the Senior Naval Officer at Haifa, its personnel became members of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, and its launches flew the White Ensign.
One launch was moved inland by rail, to the Sea of Galilee.
