On January 2, 1909, the Hebrew Gymnasium in Jerusalem הגימנסיה העברית בירושלים, established by were Dr. Naftali and Hannah Weitz, Yehoshua Barzilay, Yitzhak Ben Zvi, and Aryeh Yan, opened its doors.
