In short, he was always being called to missions at hand, and he always came. "How did I get to 'Stockade and Watchtower'? I was in Naharayim. I was a member of the Gesher group. I knew the [Jezreel] Valley. I knew many of those from the settlements. I was also a member of the Haganah. In short, they knew they could call on me and that I'd come.""

David Nameri, a kibbutz member, was a founder and senior officer of both Mossad leAliyah Bet 'מוסד לעלייה ב and Palmach פלמ"ח.
Idith Zertal cites: David Nameri "was in charge of training for special jobs and a liaison with the British division for special actions, with which the Palmach cooperated in the face of the threat of Nazi invasion of Palestine."
"Until 1948 he served as a bridge a problematic yet vital bridge between the Palmach and the Mossad and pushed for greater radicalism of Mossad operations, especially encouraging active resistance by the refugees on the deportation ships to Cyprus from August 1946 apparently because, working mainly in Palestine, he had not witnessed the devastation of the Holocaust in Europe and had not been in direct contact with its weary survivors."
